A short dramatic piece for horn and piano approximately grade 6 to 7 standard. Written following a day trip to Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex. Inspired by billowing cumulus clouds often seen in the English countryside on a hot summers day. The piece ends with an optional top C.
Review: “This melodic recital piece features long, broad phrases dotted with wispy conversational passages. For studios and schools.” – New Issues, February 1995
