Vivaldi was a prominent violinist of his day, and this is reflected in his work which is predominately for the string family. The most well known of all his compositions is The Four Seasons, a set of four violin concertos of which this present arrangement by Carlo Martelli is the third.
Review: “Playable as a separate movement, or together with Spring, Summer and Winter as an entire suite, this arrangement from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons is perfect for concerts, weddings and all occasions. For colleges, conservatories and professionals.” – New Issues, December 1994
